Emmett O. McAninch, b.25 Mar. 1916, in Minnesota, son of Frank Leroy McAninch


and Bessie L. McAninch of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Emmett O.


married Dorothy Evelyn Thurnblom, in Minnesota, and they came to California in


the late 1940's, living in Compton in 1949. Emmett and Dorothy had three children:


Frank Donald McAninch, Cynthia Jean McAninch, and Debra Lynn McAninch, all


three born in Los Angeles County. Emmett and Dorothy McAninch lived in Lodi,


San Joaquin County, (northern) California; Emmett died 11 Sept 1975, and Dorothy


died 16 Jan. 1985, both in San Joaquin County, California, with private cremations.

Lewis R. McAninch was born 1 Jan. 1914, Hawaii Territory, according to his Army


records from World War II (parents unknown). Lewis R. McAninch was living in


Los Angeles in 1939, and joined the U.S. Army on 8 Oct. 1941, occupation Teacher,


marital status Single, no dependents, and rank Private. Later, Lewis married Elizabeth


C. (maiden name unknown), and worked for the Board of Education in Los Angeles.


Later, Lewis R. McAninch eventually moved to Pacific Grove, Monterey County,


(northern) California, where he died on 15 May 2000 (burial records unknown).

Alvin I. McAninch, b.ca.1911, prob. Oklahoma, son of Irl Abbot McAninch and his


first wife, Harriet B. 'Hattie' (Cobb) McAninch [see Note 15]. Alvin I. McAninch


married Rena C. (Mellus) Owens, 6 July 1935, in Los Angeles County, California.


Alvin is listed as branch manager of a Western Union Telegraph Company office in


Los Angeles, 1938 and 1939; no further information is available.

Vance Godfrey McAninch, b.11 July 1899, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota,


second son of Harry Vance and Ella (Johnson) McAninch [see Note 25]. Vance served


as a Private in the U.S. Army during World War I. Vance and his wife Gay / Gladys /


Ruby / Ruth lived in San Francisco and Oakland, Alameda County, California, between


1929 and 1944, with Vance listed as a department manager, Kahn's Dept Store, and his


wife as a beautician / electrolysis treatment; they did not have any children. They are


listed in the 1952 city directory in Lynwood, Los Angeles County, California.


Vance G. McAninch died 23 Oct. 1960, in Los Angeles, and is buried in the


Los Angeles National Cemetery, west Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California


("Vance G. McAninch / Minnesota / Pvt. U.S.Army / World War I /


  July 11, 1898 Oct. 23, 1960").
