Claude Elwood McAninch b.20 July 1890, Nevada, Vernon County, Missouri, son of |

John William and Mattie J. (Taylor) McAninch, long-time residents of Vernon County. |
|
|
Claude married Irma Pearl Poulter, and they had one child, John Reginald McAninch, |
|
|
born 5 Sept. 1917, Nevada, Vernon County, Missouri. Claude and his family came to |
|
|
California in the early 1920's, and lived here until the mid 1930's. Claude and Irma |
|
|
were divorced, and Irma and John remained in California. Claude returned to Missouri, |
|
|
and married(2) Mary J. Beeman in 1936. Claude died in Missouri, 25 Aug. 1954, |
|
|
and was buried in the Deepwood Cemetery, Nevada, Vernon County, Missouri. |

Ethel Iona McAninch, b. Jan. 1894, Iowa, and Olive DeVeere McAninch, b.ca.1901, |
|
|
Iowa, are two daughters of William H. and Nellie J. (Hartzell) McAninch, Kossuth |
|
|
County, Iowa, 1900, 1905; Lincoln County, Colorado, 1910, and later Marion County, |
|
|
Oregon. Ethel married William McArthur (exact date and place unknown); William, |
|
|
his wife Ethel, and her younger sister Olive D. McAninch lived in Los Angeles. |

Irl Abbot McAninch, was born 30 May 1889, Loretto, Boone County, Nebraska, third |
|
|
son of Milton Fletcher and Flora Belle (Abbott) McAninch, who moved their family |
|
|
to Edmond, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, before 1910, where Irl became a teacher. |
|
|
Irl married Harriet B. Cobb, ca. 1910, and they had one child, Alvin I. McAninch [28]. |
|
|
Irl married(2) Clarice Leota Felible, c.1916, Sedgewick County, Kansas, and registered |
|
|
for the W.W.I Draft in Edmond, Oklahoma, in 1917, with “wife + child”. They had |
|
|
two children: Geraldine B., b.ca.1917, Oklahoma, and Milton Felible McAninch, |
|
|
b.14 Sept. 1921, Oklahoma, who later flew B-24 Liberators over Europe in W.W.II. |
|
|
The family came west in the late 1920's, are listed in multiple Los Angeles directories |
|
|
from 1927 to 1951, and with Irl's brother Bryan Dale McAninch, oil worker, in 1938. |
|
|
Irl and his family later moved to Santa Barbara County. Irl died 21 June 1972, |
|
|
Santa Barbara County, and Clarice died 22 Oct. 1989, West Hills, Los Angeles County. |
|
|
Irl's Santa Barbara Death Certificate indicates that he was to be buried at Inglewood |
|
|
Park Cemetery, Inglewood, Los Angeles County; Clarice's burial information unknown. |

Irving Enoch McAninch, b.21 June 1898, in Nebraska, fiifth and youngest child |
|
|
of Enoch Wood and Catherine (Pottorf) McAninch, from Ringgold County, Iowa. |
|
|
Irving married Ruth Jaubert, prob. in Nebraska, and they had two children, |
|
|
Dweight Leonard McAninch, b.7 Oct. 1921, and Eleanore McAninch, b.ca.1924, |
|
|
both born in Nebraska. Irving brought the family to California later in the 1920's, |
|
|
listed in multiple city directories from 1928 into the 1940's. Irving died 17 Dec. 1972, |
|
|
in San Bernardino County, and Ruth died 15 Jan. 1973, in Orange County; both are |
|
|
buried at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Los Angeles County, California. |
