Glen Orison McAnish was born 4 Nov. 1904, Eddy County, New Mexico, only child |
|
|
of Barney Foster and Alta Pearl (Merrifield) McAninch [see Note 10 above, surname |
|
|
spellings McAninch and McAnish]. Glen came to California in the 1920's, and is listed |
|
|
in many Long Beach and Los Angeles directories from 1928 to 1961. Glen married |
|
|
Catherine Margaret Ray, 4 Dec. 1932, in Los Angeles, and they had three children: |
|
|
Glenna Dee McAnish, Daniel Lee McAnish (U.S.C.G., died 4 Mar. 1963, buried in |
|
|
Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California), and |
|
|
Patrick Ray McAnish. Over the years, Glen's occupation has been listed as musician |
|
|
(1928-1930), deputy sheriff (1932), police (1936), detective (1938), Investigator for |
|
|
a Detective Agency (1940 census), and investigator (1949). Glen Orison McAnish died |
|
|
15 June 1967, buried at Valhalla Cemetery, North Hollywood, Los Angeles County. |
