Barney Foster McAninch b.23 Jan. 1883, Bell County, Texas, son of John D. and |

Emma (Bell) McAninch. Barney married(1) Alta Pearl Merrifield (exact date and place |

unknown, prob. New Mexico, poss. Texas), and they had one child, son Glen Orison |

|
McAninch, b.4 Nov. 1904, Eddy County, New Mexico, surname re-written McAnish |
|
|
on Glen's "Delayed Birth Registration” issued July, 1940, Eddy County, New Mexico. |

|
Barney and Alta Pearl divorced, and she married(2) Walter Key Vest, 21 Dec. 1905, |
|
|
Eddy County, New Mexico. Barney came to California, and worked as a salesman in |
|
|
Kern County, San Diego, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. In 1918, Barney McAninch |
|
|
registered for the W.W.I Draft in Los Angeles, although he is not listed in the 1918 |
|
|
City Directory, and no record of Barney has been found in the 1920 federal census. |
|
|
In 1921, Barney is listed in the Los Angeles city directory, and Barney married(2) |
|
|
Marie (Popp) Duncan on 26 April 1921, Los Angeles County, California, the second |
|
|
marriage for each of them (Marie was originally from Fresno County, California). |
|
|
Barney died two years later, age 40, died 7 Oct 1923, Los Angeles County, California |
|
|
(burial information unknown). |

Miles T. McAninch b. Nov. 1849, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, was the second son |
|
|
of Sylvester J. “Squire” and Rosanna (Himes) McAninch. Miles T. McAninch married |
|
|
Harriet J. (maiden name unknown), circa 1870 (probably Jefferson County, Penn.). |
|
|
Their first two children were born there, Perry Alonzo McAninch, b.30 Apr. 1880 |
|
|
[see Note 12, below], and Pearl O. McAninch, b.Aug. 1884, and then they started west, |
|
|
with daughter Georgia P. McAninch b.Nov. 1886 in Montana. Miles and his family |
|
|
farmed in Fresno County, California, for 30 years, and then moved to Los Angeles |
|
|
ca. 1922-1923. Harriet died 13 Dec. 1926, and Miles T McAninch died 29 Dec. 1937; |
|
|
both died in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, and they are both buried at |
|
|
Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Glendale), Glendale, Los Angeles County, California. |

Perry Alonzo McAninch b.30 Apr. 1880, Rose Township, Jefferson County, Penn., |
|
|
first child of Miles T and Harriet McAninch [see Note 11, above]. Perry married |
|
|
Bertha Matilda Lamb, ca.1907 (prob. California; marriage date and place unknown). |
|
|
They are in Bakersfield, Kern County, for a few years; Perry is a house carpenter |
|
|
on the 1910 census, and manager at the Wallace Pump Works, Bakersfield, in 1912. |
|
|
They are in Los Angeles in the 1920 census, and 1930 census, and are listed in the |
|
|
City Directories for many years. Perry Alonzo and Bertha Matilda (Lamb) McAninch |
|
|
did not have any children. Bertha died 7 Oct. 1951, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, |
|
|
and Perry died 31 Dec. 1953, in Ventura County, California (burial records unknown). |
