The Editor’s Corner

In this issue, we present a mixed bag of short articles, from early Pennsylvania (1771, and 1801-1804) to the 1881 Census in Scotland (the auld country). Last issue, we had one big article, a major research effort by one submitter. This time there are many articles, submitted by different people, and my deep appreciation and thanks to everyone willing to share their research efforts and work in progress.

Next issue -- County Antrim, 1803, Agricultural Survey; Armstrong County, Penn., Survey records.

Also, a “birthday” note -- Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, was created March 12, 1800, set off from parts of Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties, and became 200 years old last month, March 12, 2000.

And some miscellaneous facts and trivia on the last page – the Red Hand of Ulster, Hadrian’s Wall, etc.
