R2W, Hendricks County Deeds, Vol. 12, pg. 417; the exact legal description in the deed is

 

“... part of the South East quarter of the North West quarter of Section Nine in Township

 

Fourteen North of Range Two West bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a stake on the

 

line forty rods East of the South East corner of said land above described, running thence

 

North with section [line] bearing eight rods, thence East the same bearing ten rods, thence

 

South bearing as aforesaid eight rods to the said line, thence West with said line ten rods to

 

the place of beginning, containing half an acre ...”

(Mary) Polly (Skidmore) McAninch was alive in April 1846, and was named in her

 

father’s Will (Will of Joseph Skidmore, Lincoln County, Kentucky, Will Book P, pg.106);

 

but, in August 1850, she is not listed in the 1850 census [Note 10]
