A. A. McIninch [Notes 1, 2] of St. Joseph, Missouri, came to West Plains during the week |
|
of November 4 to look over his land interest in Howell County. Several years before he |
|
had purchased the South Missouri Land Company. The land comprised about 7,000 acres |
|
in small tracts located in different parts of the county. McIninch had sold about 4,000 ac. |
|
but was now taking it off the market to hold for higher prices. |
