County, Iowa, 27 June 1899, son of Charles Osborne McAninch and Lucy Ann McGee. Educated

in Poweshiek County. Married Lillian Katherine Albert on 8 Nov 1935. Daughter, Dorothy Irene.

1916, furniture dealer and  mortician at Victor; 1932, member Board of Education at Victor.

Congregational Church trustee. Office and residence at Victor, Iowa. (Page 592)

 

[2] John E. McAninch, Jasper County, Iowa; chiropractor; born Brooklyn, Iowa, 13 June 1886,

son of David Franklin McAninch and Emma Rosetta Capehart. Educated Brooklyn high school

and Palmer School of Chiropractic. Married Glen Rees on 11 Feb 1924 at Omaha, Nebraska.

1908-13, grocery clerk, 1913, chiropractor at Newton. During World War, enlisted US Army 1917,

O/S surgical assistant, base hospital, 104 Camp Beaudessert France, discharged Camp Dodge, 1919.

This is Esop Edgar McIninch [McI is correct], shows up in the Linn County donation land records,

son of John A. and Sarah (Johnson) McIninch, Tuscarawas County, Ohio; Esop never married, served

as County Commissioner, and Representative to state legislature, died 1862, Will in Linn County.

 

2. “Thomas McNich, 51, Hops Grower, born Canada (Gaelic), parents born Scotland [1910 census,

Yamhill County, Oregon].” McAninch's in Ontario?, or just a real McNich from the old country?.
