The 1963 Photographs: [4a1] [4a2] [4a3] [4a4] [4a5] [4a6]

These photographs were taken at Pleasant Hill Cemetery by Louise McAninch in 1963 [4],

and Louise sent copies of them to Marjorie (McAninch) Waggoner [7] in 1964 [4e, letter].

This author [6] received copies of these pictures from Marjorie in March, 2003, and

scanned them into electronic.image files.

1.	“Area” photograph, view of the cemetery area, direction unknown; there are about a
	dozen stones visible in the cemetery, but there is nothing readable in this picture [4a1].

2.	“Isabelle” photograph of the Isabelle (Ridpath) McAninch marker [4a2];
	the inscription can be read in the photograph --
	“Isabelle / Wife of / Enoch G. McAninch / And Daughter Of / J. & S. Ridpath /
	Died June 2 / 1860 / Aged 27 Y 11 M / & 14 D”
	This appears to be the same picture of Isabelle’s marker that has been published in the
	‘Swan Creek to Lotts Creek’ family history book, Ringgold County, Iowa [32] [32d]
	[and note that the “hand pointing upward” can be seen in the photograph]

3.	“Polly S.” photograph of (Mary) Polly Susan(nah) (McAninch) Harlan’s stone,
	also marked “Side - North” at the top of the photograph [4a3];
	although this photograph is hard to read, the inscription is believed to be --
	“Polly S. / Wife of / John Harlan / Died / Dec. 24, 1853 / Aged / 23 Yr 22 Da”

4.	“S Mc” photograph of a broken marker stone, with “S” and “Mc” clearly visible in
	the photograph [4a4]; believed to be the foot stone at Samuel’s grave, according to
	Louise McAninch [4e, letter]

5.	“Samuel” photograph of flat stone [4a5], marker for Samuel McAninch;
	although this photograph is also hard to read, the inscription was recorded by
	Louise McAninch in 1963 [4b, letter] --
	“Samuel / Died / July 30, 1859 / Aged / 70 yrs 5 mo / & 25 ds”
	and “I am the resurrection and the life”

6.	“Building” photographs of the old house adjacent to the cemetery [4a6]
