(twenty graves, numbered “1 to 8, 8b, 9 to 19”) are used here, in the same layout as that sketch map

(more complete information is presented in the ‘plot plan’ and ‘growth’ sections of this report, below):

Another section of this report,

“Analysis and Identification of Family Groups, from Pleasant Hill Cemetery Records”,

contains additional information on the Grimes, Hadley, Hancock, Harlan, King, Mann, McAninch, Phillips, Pike, Ridpath, and Tincher families associated with the Pleasant Hill Methodist Episcopal

church community.

There are two more ‘Harlan’ and ‘Phillips’ people listed only by Mrs. Ennis Johnson [2], with no

information about specific grave locations --

[2] 20. “Susan Phillips, wife of Enoch Harlan” [Susan (Phillips) Harlan, wife of Enoch Harlan], and

[2] 21. “Infant daughter of Jonathan F. Phillips and Makina Couch Phillips, sister to Olney Phillips.”

These two additional people are discussed further in the ‘Harlan family’ and ‘Phillips family’ sections

of this report, below.
