William McAninch, born before 1765 [prob. Ireland, or poss. Pennsylvania], went to

in Ky

Tennessee and Kentucky with Daniel McAninch (1G:1); William McAninch married


Laodieca Rawson, 7 Oct. 1796, in Greene County, (eastern) Tennessee; William died

1813, in Casey County, Kentucky, and named his five sons in his Will [Note 4].


William McAninch’s five sons all left Kentucky, and founded McAninch family lines


in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri, and Texas.



Sons:

1. James McAninch, b.ca.1786 (Pennsylvania?), land records in Casey County (he is


    '21 and over' on 1807 land entry, and an adult witness in the 1810 Court record)


    and on the 1812 Tax List in Giles County, Tennessee;




2. Jonathan McAninch, b.1799-1800, Kentucky, mar. Telitha Turpin, 17 June 1824,


    Pulaski County, in Kentucky until (at least) 1850, then to Cass County, Missouri


    [thirteen children, including their fifth son, William Harrison McAninch, b.1840]



3. William McAninch, b.1804-1805, Kentucky, m.(1) ___ Brown, m.(2) Maria Starr


    (poss. Shelby County, Tennessee), and a pioneer in DeSoto County, Mississppi


    [son William George McAninch, b.1825 (Tenn.?), died 1854, DeSoto County]




4. Samuel McAninch, b.10 Apr. 1807 (not 1805), mar. Margaret Meyers, 1828,


    Giles County, Tenn., went to Cass County, Missouri, died there in 1893 [Note 5]


    [three children, first son William Charles McAninch, b.7 Nov. 1830, became a


     medical doctor, practicing in Bates County, Missouri, and died there in 1901]



5. Jesse McAninch, b.ca.1812 (not 1807), mar. Jane D. Staats, 5 May 1835, in


    Pulaski County, and they went west to Carrollton, Greene County, Illinois


    [eight children, including three sons, none named William].
