William Ellsworth & Hannah McAninch

 

William Ellsworth McAninch was born in Beaver Township, Jefferson County, PA, on

March 9, 1854 and was the son of Sylvester and Rosanna McAninch. The family moved to

Knox Township in 1861, and settled on the farm which he later owned and where he spent

the rest of his life in that occupation. In 1872, he married Hannah Elizabeth Yeomans, daughter

of John S. and Mary Ann (Steele) Yeomans. Hannah was born August 7, 1853 in Brookville,

and died August 5,1936. William died August 29, 1912, on his farm in Knox Township,

Jefferson County, PA. They had a family of eleven children, two of which died in infancy.

William and Hannah are buried in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, in Knoxdale, Jefferson County, PA.
