The Editor's Corner

There’s a humorous old adage about the ‘four season climate’ here in sunny Southern California

Summer, Fire, Winter, Flood. Unfortunately, the Fire season in 2007 came in with a bang, and

has devastated whole communities in the foothills and valleys. We have been safe here, at the

beach, but we all know people who have been directly affected, co-workers that live in the foothills,

friends in various clubs and organizations, and one of our neighbors, a firefighter who spent the

week fighting the big fire in the hills above Malibu. We can’t say enough in honor of the men and.

women who work as firefighters.

And, to mark the completion of another trip around the sun, HAPPY NEW YEAR.
