John Williamson
{Deed Part of 700} [sic]
To John McAninch	Registered the 22nd of June 1838

This indenture made this 27th day of Nov. [sic] in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and thirty five between John Williamson of Giles County and State of Tennessee of the one part and
John McAninch of the County and State aforesaid of the other part
Witnesseth that the said John Williamson for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars
to him in hand paid by the said John McAninch the receipt whereof which is hereby fully
acknowledged hath given granted bargained sold aliened [sic, a lien] conveyed and conferred unto
the said John McAninch his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying
and being in the County of Giles and State of Tennessee it being a part of a tract of 7000 [sic] acres
granted granted [sic] to heirs of Buncomb a part of a tract that John Williamson bought of Andrew
Fay and Fay purchased from John Cox one of the heirs of Buncomb [Fay, not Kay, two places]
Beginning where John McAninch’s line intersects Hugh Torrens [sp?] East boundary line thence
with boundary of lines of said Torrens south to his south east corner West to his south west corner
a white Oak and Elm which stands in the line proven[?] south from the white oak and hickory
corner on the top of a ridge which is the first offset on the line of division between the two heirs
of Buncomb thence south with said marked line to an Elm & white Oak in the southern boundary
line of the registered Buncomb tract thence with said boundary East to a stake Poplar & white
Oak pointers then north 3 ½ degrees west seventy two poles to a white Oak divide [?] J. Jones line
and <unreadable> then North 58 dg’s [degrees] West fourteen poles North 19 dg. East eighty poles
to a Beech then east 10 poles to a stake in said Jones line then North 11 ½ [?] dgs West ninety six
poles to a white Oak John Williamson line then North 8 dgs East one hundred and sixteen poles to
a white Oak then North one hundred and forty six poles to a Hickory then West 20 poles to the

to have and to hold the aforesaid land with all and singular the profits enrollments hereditaments
and appurtenances of in and to the same belonging or in any appertaining to the proper use and
behoof of the said John McAninch his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Williamson for
himself his heirs executors and administrators do covenant and agree to and with the John McAninch
his heirs and assigns that the before recited land and bargained premises will warrant and forever
defend against the right title or claim of all and every person or persons whatever
In witness whereof the said John Williamson hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the
day and year above written
