land in the County of Giles ... on the waters of Donohoos Creek a branch of Richland Creek
being a part of a 7000 [7000 sic] acre tract granted to the heirs of Buncomb
Beginning on a white oak and hickory on the top of a ridge 400 poles south of the north boundary
of the original tract and being the first angle in the line of division between the two heirs of
Buncomb the Grantee running with the line of division from thence west (crossing the Florence
road at 421 poles) in all five hundred and forty seven poles to a hickory & dogwood thence south
to a hickory poplar and chesnut [not chestnut] in the southern boundary of the original tract,
thence east with said boundary to a point due south of the beginning being John Williamsons
south west  corner thence north to the beginning
containing eighteen hundred acres be the same more or less ...
