Andrew Fay	For 166 ¼ acres of land in Giles County
Deed to
John McAninch	Registered the 21st day of September 1832

This indenture made this twentyeth [sic] day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and thirty between Andrew Fay of Giles County and State of Tennessee on the one
part and John McAninch of the County of Giles and state aforesaid on the other part
Witnesseth … seven hundred forty eight and one eighth dollars … certain tract or parcel of land
situate lying and being in the County of Giles and State of Tennessee being part of that tract of
land purchased by said Fay of John Cox who was one of the heirs of Buncomb & being part of a
7000 acre tract
Beginning at Hugh Torrence North East corner as per deed of this date in Gray H. Edward’s
South boundary line an Elm & Ironwood running with Edward’s line East one hundred and
thirty poles to a hickory & Ironwood on the east boundary of the Buncomb tract then with said
boundary south two hundred four 6/10 poles to two cedars John Williamson’s North East corner
as <unreadable> of said Fay then with Williamson’s line West one hundred and sixty poles to a
stake in Torrence’s East boundary thence with Torrence’s line to the beginning containing one
hundred sixty-six & one fourth acres be the same more or less
