This indenture made the 25th day of September [Sep’r] and in the year of our Lord one thousand |

eight hundred and twenty nine and in the fifty third and fourth of American independence between |
||
|
Davidson Myers of Giles County and State of Tennessee of the one part and Samuel McAninch of |
||
|
the other of the county and state aforesaid of the other part [sic] |
||
|
Witnesseth that the said Myers for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty dollars |
||
|
to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and |
||
|
by these presents doth fully freely clearly and forever from himself his heirs and assigns bargain and |
||
|
sell and convey to the said McAninch his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract and parcel of land |
||
|
laying and being in Giles County Seventh district in Range two Section three, on the waters of |
||
|
Hurricane Creek [sic, Haricen?, not Harrison Creek] [Hurricane Creek, 1832 land description /fm] |
||
|
and bounded as follows to wit |
||
|
Beginning at a chestnut seventy poles North and eighty poles East from the North East corner of |
||
|
the ten acres granted to Alexander McDonald No. 745 thence North sixty three and one fourth poles |
||
|
to a hickory and dogwood thence West sixty three & ¼ poles to a stake with two poplars pointers |
||
|
thence South sixty three & ¼ poles to a dogwood thence East sixty three & ¼ poles to the beginning |
||
|
containing twenty-five acres more or less |
||
|
which land was granted by the State of Tennessee to Vines Harwell [Hanwell?] the 18th of Sept. |
||
|
1826 as will more fully appear by said grant together with the herein [word?] and appurtenances |
||
|
to have and to hold the said tract and parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Samuel |
||
|
McAninch his heirs and assigns forever |
||
|
In witness whereof the said Davidson Myers hath hereunto set his hand and affixt [sic] his seal |
